Accenture Full-Year Revenue Up 3%

Accenture plc (NYSE:ACN) announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and full-year 2013, reporting annual revenue up 3%. Fourth quarter revenues improved 4% from $6.84B to $7.09B, with its consulting business bringing in revenues of $3.8B while outsourcing earned revenues of $3.3B. Gross margin for the quarter improved slightly to 33.2%, up from 32.9% a year ago this quarter. For the full fiscal year 2013, Accenture revenues were up 3% from $27.9B to $28.6B, with consulting responsible for $15.4B and outsourcing with the remaining $13.2B of the sum. Earnings per share for the year were up $1.09, from $3.84 a year ago, to $4.93 per share this year. Accenture Chairman and CEO Pierre Nanterme commented that the company increased market share and is branching out into new growth opportunities to continue its competitiveness while delivering maximum value to shareholders.
