There are all kinds of comments on the SKYPE deal and I sold MSFT in the middle of the afternoon just before they announced because the price wasn't holding. O/K it turned out a/o/k............. 7 %+ sell off..........

I though about how neet it is Mr Andreeson getting Bill to step up for billions more then Andreeson's group paid and that is how justice is done in the high tech jungle.

I bought MSFT back at $ 25.37 because it occurred to me that the headline price is, of course ,not the bottom line price and this deal doesn't require MSFT or the seller to repatriate the dollars. The seller is totally avoiding paying tax on the gain  here an MSFT didn't need to bring the cash back into the US an pay ......... What was the real cost of the 8.5 billion they spent. Certainly way less than 8.5 B.........

The SKYPE assets just melt in and the big looser is SEC Geitner an his IRS arm. Score another win for big companies an there tax/legal departments

MSFT got a nice piece  of the pie and they have the talent to make it fit. Lets see if with Nokia they can tie it all together...........
