New Record for Global Corporate Bond Issuance

David Oakley and Ed Hammond, writing on ft.com (here), report a new record, $1.013 trillion in corporate bonds have been issued for 2009.  There are still more than four months to go in the year and the old record, $898 billion in 2007, has already been beaten by almost 13%.  The authors give their source as Dealogic, the data provider.  Most (90%) of the issuance is investment grade.
