Tony Hayward Wants His Life Back

|Includes: BP p.l.c. (BP)

A video that can be seen at thinkprogress.org shows BP CEO Tony Hayward expressing a desire for the gulf oil spill ordeal to end so "he can get his life back".  This is just the latest in a series of spoken gaffs from Hayward.  Among them are the following provided by thinkprogress.org

What the hell did we do to deserve this?” [New York Times, 4/30/10]

“The Gulf of Mexico is a very big ocean. The amount of volume of oil and dispersant we are putting into it is tiny in relation to the total water volume.” [Guardian, 5/14/10]

“I think the environmental impact of this disaster is likely to be very, very modest.” [Sky News, 5/18/10]

Yesterday (seekingalpha.com/article/207673-bp-how-b... ) I posted the following quote:  "The oil is on the surface." Hayward said.  "There aren't any plumes."

Last night I saw a video where Hayward was suggesting that the oil related illnesses might be food poisoning.

What is this man thinking?  He certainly appears to have little empathy for the millions who also want their life back and even less training in public relations.
