The Conference Board's forecast for global growth shows a 3.2% gain in world GDP in 2012 with a modest jump up to 3.5% between 2013 and 2016 - before GDP falls back below 3% growth from 2017 to 2025. Chief Economist Bart Van Ark says the biggest surprise in the model was a significant cooling off in China after 2017, although by that time China is expected to have surpassed the U.S. as the world's largest economy.
