With Mitt Romney's rivals attacking his record as Bain chief, the WSJ finds that the firm produced about $2.5B in gains on 77 deals from an investment of $1.1B during Romney's tenure. However, Bain lost all its money on 8% of deals, while 22% filed for bankruptcy restructuring or closed by the end of the 8th year after Bain invested.
