Deloitte thinks 2012 will see 300M shipments of "dumb" smartphones - sub-$100 devices that sport touchscreens and often Wi-Fi, but don't have much of the advanced functionality typically associated with smartphones. Demand for such devices could help boost the average selling price of Nokia's (NOK) phones from Q3's $70 level, and also bolster Samsung and Intel's (INTC) Bada/Tizen initiative.
