U.K. December retail sales rise 0.6%, inline with estimates, and following a revised 0.5% fall in November. Nominally, sales rose 6.2% Y/Y. Analysts believe December's gains were driven by retailers cutting prices during the month, something that "can't continue indefinitely," says economist Samuel Tombs.
