AMD says it expects the microprocessor market to increase about 5% this year. That figure is a little below Intel's (INTC) guidance for mid-to-high single-digit revenue growth, which many on the Street were skeptical of. AMD, which has outsourced its CPU manufacturing in recent years, also says it's only budgeting $200M for 2012 capex, or less than 3% of its expected revenue.
