BP warns that a prolonged grounding of Super Puma helicopters in the North Sea could have a major impact, as more than half the fleet used to supply oil and gas platforms in the U.K. sector remains grounded following Friday's fatal crash.

BP says there is no immediate risk to oil production from its U.K. North Sea fields, which pump out 100K bbl/day.

Total (TOT) says it had chartered four ships to help transport its workforce to and from offshore installations.

Shell (RDS.A, RDS.B) doesn't expect much disruption to its operations since it primarily uses Sikorsky helicopters for its North Sea transport requirements.
