Informatica (INFA) has guided on its Q3 CC for Q4 revenue of $260M-$275M and EPS of $0.45-$0.50 vs. a consensus of $261.2M and $0.48. The data warehousing software firm is also guiding for 2014 revenue of $1.01B-$1.06B and EPS of $1.55-$1.65 vs. a consensus of $1.04B and $1.64.

The numbers, along with Informatica's big Q3 top-line beat, are going well with investors on edge over data warehousing peer Teradata's warning.

Software revenue (drives future service revenue) jumped 35% Y/Y in Q3 to $99.8M; that's a major pickup from Q2's 18% Y/Y. Services revenue rose 16% to $135.6M, even with Q2's growth rate.

Informatica's numbers comes as Qlik, whose business intelligence/analytics software often relies on data handled by warehousing software, crashes due to a Q3 revenue miss and weak Q4 guidance.
