AudioCodes beat Q3 estimates, and guided on its CC (webcast) for 2013 revenue of $136M-$138M and EPS of $0.13-$0.15. While that's in-line with a consensus of $136.9M and $0.13, investors wanted more following this year's big run-up.
Sonus missed Q3 revenue estimates while posting in-line EPS, and has provided in-line Q4 guidance - revenue of $70M-$75M and EPS of $0.02 vs. a consensus of $73.5M and $0.02.
However, Sonus lowered its full-year session border controller (SBC) product revenue guidance to $92M-$96M from $94M-$98M; total SBC revenue guidance (includes services, which often stem from product sales) was upped by $2M to a range of $122M-$126M.
SBC sales (+44% Y/Y in Q3 and 43% of revenue) have been driving Sonus' revenue growth; demand for the company's VoIP gateways has been weaker. On its CC (transcript), Sonus mentioned some major new projects "have big service components attached to them with initially smaller product revenue," and that its SBC sales cycle has "lengthened somewhat."
