The Japanese airline is sticking with Boeing for its wide-bodied fleet, saying it will buy 14 Boeing 787 jets despite the carrier suffering from the plane's problems. ANA will also purchase 26 Boeing 777, 20 of which will be the next-generation 777X. The Boeing deals are worth ¥1.36T.
From Airbus, ANA is buying 23 A321 aircraft and seven A320s in an agreement worth ¥366B.
The deal represents further progress for Airbus in the Japanese market, which Boeing has dominated for decades. (PR)
