Though Elpida's bankruptcy has been mostly seen as a boon for DRAM makers such as Micron, BofA thinks NAND flash maker SanDisk (SNDK +0.6%) also stands to benefit. The removal of Elpida's DRAM capacity could lead to higher DRAM production (and thus lower NAND production) among rivals such as Samsung, Hynix, and Micron, and could also create higher barriers to entry for the NAND market.
