Baird's survey of potential iPad (AAPL) customers - admittedly focused on a "younger, tech-savvier group on average" - found 42% of respondents planning to buy the new iPad to be first-time tablet buyers. In addition, 48% of existing iPad owners say they're in the market for the new iPad, and 15% of all respondents say they plan to buy the discounted iPad 2. 60% of non-buyers say they're turned off by the iPad's price.
