Paris and the pyramid: Victims of yet another alleged Ponzi scheme will benefit if their attorney can prove Paris Hilton is bad at promotion. The SEC says a company invested in her sorority-hijinks movie Pledge This! was a $300M fraud, and a court-appointed receiver is suing Hilton (who had nothing to do with the scheme), claiming that her lackluster promotion of the stinker deprived 3,300 investors of $8.3M.

This has become the new American way - "I did something really idiotic with my money, and now I want to sue and make it someone else's fault and responsibility."
At the end of the day there will be no dumb investors or irresponsible borrowers, only shysters, evil bankers and greedy mortgage brokers who tricked every innocent victim into signing those documents.
