Twelve European firms, including Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB), Siemens (SI) and ABB (NYSE:ABB), sign a memorandum of understanding to develop a plan to bring solar power from the Sahara to Europe. The project, called Desertec, aims to provide 15% of Europe's electricity by 2050.
