Absent several one-time items, H2 profitability "will be much tougher than the first half," Bank of America (BAC +1.7%) chief Ken Lewis says on this morning's earnings call (full transcript later). "I think we have to get through the next couple of quarters and into 2010 before... the market strength of our various businesses will help us return to more normalized earnings."

Yet more B.S. from Lewis. BETWEEN quarterly reports, Lewis was doing nothing about crowing about how the acquisitions of Merrill and Countrywide were "already accretive" to the bottom-line.

However, when it comes time to report "EARNINGS" all we hear from this liar are losses, losses, and more losses from the operations of those companies.

I guess its about time for Lewis to come out with his FOURTH version of what took place during the acquisition of Merrill.
