Boeing CTO Tracy retiring as part of management shakeup

John Tracy, Boeing's (NYSE:BA) CTO and SVP of Engineering, Operations, & Technology (EO&T), is retiring in July. Tracy's EO&T responsibilities will be handed off to other execs. "Transition plans" for the CTO role will be announced at a later date.

Meanwhile, Boeing is promoting four execs reporting to CEO Dennis Muilenburg to give them authority under "newly designated company functions to place increased emphasis and attention on capabilities deemed critical to ensuring Boeing’s competitive edge in its second century."

CIO Ted Colbert has been named SVP of Information and Analytics; Scott Fancher has been named SVP of Program Management, Integration & Development Programs; Greg Hyslop has been named SVP of Engineering, Test & Technology; Pat Shanahan has been named SVP of Supply Chain & Operations. Boeing has also made two new VP appointments.
