Stocks point to flat open as quiet trading week continues

Stock futures trade narrowly above their flat lines as investors weigh the latest batch of earnings reports and modest losses in global markets; S&P, Dow and Nasdaq all +0.1%.

Major European indexes trade mostly lower, with Germany's DAX -0.3%, France's CAC -0.2% and U.K.'s FTSE -0.1%; in Asia, Japan's Nikkei and China's Shanghai Composite both closed -0.2%.

In corporate news, SunPower -28.7% premarket after cutting its guidance and announcing 1,200 layoffs due to industry conditions, and Michael Kors -2.9% after posting earnings and revenue beats but lowering current quarter guidance.

WTI crude oil +0.3% at $42.88/bbl after OPEC's latest oil market report slightly raised its demand forecast for this year to 1.22M bbl/day.
