U.S. stock futures edge higher after Asia rallies

|By:, SA News Editor

U.S. stock index futures edge into positive territory after a strong day for markets in Asia. Both the Nikkei 225 and Shanghai Composite Index rose more than 1%. The Stoxx Europe 600 is flat in mid-day trading.

Crude oil futures are down 0.34% to $43.34 to erase an early gain after Saudi Arabia indicated it would cooperate with other oil producers on pricing.

A report on U.S. Retail Sales is due out later this morning.
