U.S. mortgage rates bounce higher, Freddie Mac says

Average 30-year fixed mortgage rates climbed back above 3.5% after last week's hiatus, Freddie Mac says in its latest weekly survey.

The 30-year fixed averaged 3.54% during the week ended Nov. 3, up from last week's 3.47%, while the 15-year fixed average climbed to 2.84% from 2.78% a week ago.

A year ago at this time, the 30-year fixed rate averaged 3.87% and the 15-year fixed rate averaged 3.09%.
