IEA boosts its global oil demand forecast by nearly 0.5M barrels/day for both 2009 and 2010, citing stronger-than-expected economic data in North America and Asia. Now sees global demand of 84.4M b/d this year, still down 2.2% from 2008, and 85.7M next year. Yesterday, the EIA lowered its forecast by 30K b/d.
