Apple (AAPL +0.2%) intends to sell consumers a premium TV bundle that would wrap up its existing offerings of HBO (TWX +0.3%), Showtime (CBS +0.2%) and Starz (LGF.A +0.1%), Recode reports.

That sounds like a traditional pay TV move, but departs from tradition in not requiring a large base package of channels before getting to the premiums.

Apple says it's stopped trying to offer such a traditional base of channels on the Internet. The current separate price it charges for those networks is $15/month for HBO, $11/month for Showtime and $9/month for Starz.
