Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) and its virtual-reality unit Oculus have been sued by a smaller competitor alleging that the Oculus Rift incorporates the latter's patented tech.

Licensing firm Techno View IP has filed the action on behalf of headset maker ImmersiON-VRelia, charging Oculus with infringing on a patent covering left-right perspectives in 3D imaging.

The news comes as Oculus and Facebook work to set aside a February verdict of $500M against it in a case filed by ZeniMax Media.
