UK inflation steady, still at multi-year highs

The consumer inflation rate in the UK has held steady at 2.3% -- in line with expectations, but still at the highest Y/Y level in years.

The M/M rise was 0.4%. The 2.3% remains the highest year comparison rate since September 2013.

And it's above the Bank of England's 2% target again as well.

The pound sterling is ticking up slightly, +0.2% against the dollar. The euro is down 0.07% against the pound.
