Disney's (NYSE:DIS) upcoming streaming service has a leader, and he's a content veteran of Apple and Samsung.

BAMTech named Kevin Swint to serve as senior VP and GM of the Disney-branded over-the-top service, The Hollywood Reporter says.

Before spending the past two years as a tech/media consultant, he worked as VP of content and services product at Samsung, and previously spent five years as director of international movies for Apple's iTunes.

The Disney-focused streaming service is scheduled to appear in 2019, while the direct-to-consumer sports network, ESPN Plus, will roll out later this year.
