Investment-grade bond spreads narrow further

The equity selloff thus far hasn't touched the high-grade corporate bond market, with the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Investment-Grade Bond Index spread falling to 85 basis points, the slimmest since February 2007. At the start of 2017, the spread was about 120 basis points.

Slow issuance, strong economic data, and the tailwind of tax reform are all helping, says Peter Tchir.
