REI, JRVR, EVTC gain on SmallCap 600 entries

Boyd Gaming (NYSE:BYD) is moving to the S&P MidCap 400 to replace CalAtlantic Group (NYSE:CAA), set to be acquired by S&P 500 constituent Lennar around Feb. 12.

Taking Boyd's place in the SmallCap 600 is Ring Energy (NYSEMKT:REI), which is up 2.9% after hours. Those moves are effective before the open next Tuesday.

In other index moves, James River Group Holdings (NASDAQ:JRVR) is up 2.1% postmarket on word it's heading into the SmallCap 600 to replace Barracuda Networks (NYSE:CUDA) before the open on Monday; Barracuda is set to be acquired by P-E firm Thoma Bravo.

And EVERTEC (NYSE:EVTC) is up 1.6% in late trading as it's heading into the SmallCap 600 to replace Sucampo Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:SCMP), set to be acquired by S&P 500 constituent Mallinckrodt. That move is effective prior to the open on Feb. 14.
