A material portion of the distribution for Q4 (paid in Q1) was from lease bonus income, which is not recurring. The fact that they could still increase the distribution this quarter is impressive to me. I was expecting a slight decrease this quarter.

Kind of disappointed by the 4% increase from last quarter -- if production was up 14%, and realized prices were up 12%, and the policy is to pay out basically 100% of DCF, the increase should have been a lot more.

It is great to see another increase in the dividend and another payment when the last dividend was paid on February 26th, only two months between the two. VNOM is a juggernaut. They are dominating the Permian mineral world, and now they are starting to branch into other basins. Must be nice to have the lowest cost of capital in the entire industry (by far - with no competition in sight!) and the ability to buy up thousands and thousands of acres of exceptional minerals at highly accretive prices. Even after their acquisition binge stops (someday, hopefully far in the future), distributions will continue to grow and grow. This has been my largest holding for a while now.

Good to be very hard to see a 15% to 20% pull back in VNOM.
Maybe in FAANG, but not sure this one will retrace that much.
