GE enters Chilean wind power market

Its first wind energy deal in Chile will see GE Renewable Energy (NYSE:GE) supply six 3.6 megawatt turbines to Arroyo Energy Compania de Energias Renovables Limitada.

By 2035, the Chilean government wants at least 60% of electricity generated in the country to come from renewable sources, with that figure rising to 70% by 2050.
