Taubman Centers (TCO -0.6%) says shareholders elected TCO director nominees Mayree Clark, and Michael Embler, as well as activist investor Jonathan Litt, who runs hedge fund Land & Buildings Investment Management.
The preliminary vote count also indicates that shareholders rejected Land & Buildings' non-binding proposal regarding the company's capital and voting structure.
Earlier today, Land & Buildings Investment Management issued a statement scolding the company for delaying its shareholder vote count that was scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. ET. "We believe Taubman is prolonging closing its polls because they are seeking to convince shareholders to reverse their votes," Land & Buildings said in statement.
