With Monsanto deal near, Netflix to S&P 100; Twitter to S&P 500 (updated)

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) is headed into the S&P 100, and Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) into the S&P 500, Standard & Poor's announces.

Both firms are replacing Monsanto (NYSE:MON) in the respective indexes, with Monsanto's acquisition by Bayer imminent.

In other moves, REGENXBIO (NASDAQ:RGNX) will move into the SmallCap 600, to replace General Cable (NYSE:BGC). General Cable is set to be acquired by Prysmian Group.

RGNX is up 0.7% after hours in what looks to be thin trading. Shares declined 6.8% today.

All moves are effective prior to Thursday's open.
