Digitimes sources say the 2019 series of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhones and iPads will come with USB-C support.

The report says Apple won’t include the tech in this year’s phones because “Apple is still in its redesign phase.”

Current MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops charge through USB-C connectors, but iPhones and iPads remain tied to Apple’s proprietary connectors.

As always, take supply chain sources with a grain of salt.

Apple shares are up 0.1% to $191.48.
