NXP Semiconductors -1.8% after Senate pushback on ZTE ban lift

NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ:NXPIdrops 1.8% after the report that the U.S. Senate is prepared for a showdown with the White House over the ZTE ban lift.

Qualcomm’s (NASDAQ:QCOM) acquisition of NXP still requires the approval of Chinese regulators and the market is reacting to any indication of easing or worsening tensions between the nations. 

Qualcomm shares are down 0.1% to $59.89.
