- TransCanada’s (NYSE:TRP) Columbia Gas Transmission unit says it is working on a section of the Leach Xpress natural gas pipeline downstream of last week's blast in West Virginia.
- TRP says the work will enable the Stagecoach-Leach Xpress meter in southeast Ohio, which connects to EQT Midstream Partners' (NYSE:EQM) Strike Force South gathering fields, to return to service.
- Columbia Gas says all other meters affected by the blast will remain at zero until the pipeline returns to service.
- The company does not say when the full service might return but has told customers it will provide an update on the status of the pipe on June 18.
- Columbia Gas has said the damaged section of pipe could affect movement of 1.3B cf/day of gas.
