Thyssenkrupp accepts CEO Hiesinger's resignation

Thyssenkrupp (OTCPK:TYEKF, OTCPK:TKAMY) says its supervisory board has accepted CEO Heinrich Hiesinger's resignation request.

The rest of the management board, consisting of Guido Kerkhoff, Oliver Burkhard and Donatus Kaufmann, would lead the company without a CEO for now.

Hiesinger submitted his resignation yesterday; he had faced pressure from activist shareholders Cevian Capital and Elliott Management to extract more commitments from the company's joint venture deal with Tata Steel.
