Thomson Reuters cutting 12% of workforce

Thomson Reuters (NYSE:TRI) will cut its workforce by 12% by 2020. The move will trim 3,200 jobs to streamline the business and improve operational efficiency.

Thomson Reuters wants to reduce its capital expenditure to between 7% to 8% of total revenue in 2020, down from the current 10%. The company also wants to grow annual sales by 3.5% to 4.5% in the period, excluding the impact of any acquisitions.
