BMW and Daimler get antitrust green light for mobility JV

BMW (OTCPK:BMWYY) and Daimler AG (OTCPK:DDAIF) say all applicable antitrust authorities give the go-ahead on its joint venture focusing on "sustainable urban mobility."

Received U.S. approval Dec. 18.

Targets closing transaction by Jan. 31, 2019.

Joint venture will involve: Multimodal and on-demand with moovel and ReachNow including booking and paying for carsharing, bike rental, taxis, and public transport; carsharing with Car2Go and DriveNow; ride-hailing with mytaxi, Chauffeur Privé, Clever Taxi, and Beat; parking with ParkNow and Parkmobile Group/Parkmobile LLC; charging with ChargeNow and Digital Charging Solutions.
