Can Airbus pull off an order upset for 2018?

|By:, SA News Editor

Between 2013 and 2017, Airbus (OTCPK:EADSY -0.3%) captured more aircraft orders than Boeing (BA -0.6%) every year, but that streak may be coming to an end.

At of the end of November, the U.S. planemaker had booked 690 net firm orders, compared to the 380 of its French rival.

In 2017, Airbus was in even worse shape at the end of November, but the aerospace giant posted a record monthly order haul the next month to top its U.S. peer.

Another upset may also be hard to pull off due to Boeing's two noteworthy aircraft orders on Dec. 21. Final order totals will be published in about a week or two.
