Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) unveils a new Health Cloud tool called Social Determinants of Health that helps hospitals and insurance spot environmental issues that could impact a patient's health, like income or a lack of transportation.
The company also debuts Field Service Lightning to unite collaborating health care organizations onto one HIPAA-compliant platform. The tool can connect dispatchers, home health nurses, and other providers for a more efficient treatment process.
The Social Determinants tool comes free with a Health Cloud subscription, but Field Service requires an additional license.
Salesforce shares are up 2.1% to $159.91.
