Samsung denies interest in acquiring NXP Semiconductors

Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) has denied that it's reviewing an acquisition of NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ:NXPI), according to Yonhap.
Reports that Samsung was considering a 50T-won bid (about $44.3B) were pegged on a meeting between Samsung's strategic president and NXP's CEO.
But Samsung says "Ahn Jung-hyun's trip to the United States is for business negotiations with its subsidiary, Haman, and it has nothing to do with acquisitions."
