The S&P 500 is flat, the Dow edges up 0.1% and the Nasdaq falls 0.6%.
By industry sector, materials (+1.8%), energy (+1.0%), and health care (+1.0%) outpace the market, while communications services (-1.9%) and consumer discretionary (-0.4%) light up red.
Crude oil falls 0.3% to $53.34 per barrel.
10-year Treasury yield falls 2 basis points to 2.126%.
