Stock exchange battle heats up in 2020

NYSE (NYSE:ICE), Nasdaq (NASDAQ:NDAQ) and Cboe Global Markets (NYSE:CBOE) are watching as at least three new U.S. stock exchanges are expected in 2020, potentially lowering costs and adding complexity to the marketplace.

Those include the Long Term Stock Exchange and a stock exchange run by options exchange operator Miami International Holdings, as well as the Members Exchange, which is backed by Virtu Financial (NASDAQ:VIRT), Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) and TD Ameritrade (NASDAQ:AMTD).
