Craft Brew soars 118% on BUD buyout

  • Anheuser-Busch (NYSE:BUD) will purchase the remaining Craft Brew Alliance (NASDAQ:BREW) shares it doesn't already own in a merger transaction.
  • BUD will pay $16.50/share in cash.
  • A-B currently owns a 31.2% stake in Craft Brew Alliance.
  • The transaction is subject to closing conditions, including shareholder and regulatory approvals. The deal is expected to close in 2020.
  • BREW shares are up 118% after hours to $16.
