Consolidated Edison (NYSE:ED) says 170 of its employees have tested positive for Covid-19, and three have died while 11 have recovered and returned to work.
The utility says it has limited work to emergencies including responding to outages and essential infrastructure upgrades to avoid spreading the virus.
ConEd has 14,500 employees, with more than 7,000 working remotely.
Eversource Energy (NYSE:ES), which serves the greater Boston area, said it had 12 employees that tested positive as of Thursday.
