Wal-Mart is the number one revenue business in the world by a long shot (next closest business does over $100 billion less in annual revs than Wal-Mart) and hasn't really moved to diversify their core retail business line. All this, and it still manages to eke out better than 2% growth. At 16x cashflows WMT doesn't seem overpriced at all, at least not relative to other names in the market such as Amazon which trades at 25x cashflows.
