- Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Web Services announces the new Panorama appliance and device software development kit that helps enterprises add computer vision to on-premises cameras for highly accurate, low latency automated predictions.
- Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Ambarella (NASDAQ:AMBA) are on as the initial partners to build the ecosystem of hardware-accelerated machine learing/AI devices with AWS Panorama.
- The Panorama Device SDK will support Nvidia's Jetson embedded AI computing platform and Ambarella's CV 2x computer vision product line.
- Rosenblatt analyst Kevin Cassidy says the partnership is "a very strong endorsement for the benefits Ambarella’s CV flow architecture can bring to edge-endpoint computer vision."
- The analyst sees the announcement as AWS "endorsing the use of computer vision in multiple industrial application," which could lead "many companies" to adopt the architecture.
- Rosenblatt maintains a Buy rating on AMBA and raises the price target from $82 to $100.
- AMBA shares are up 7.8% to $84.87. NVDA shares are up 1.1% to $541.21.
- Now find out why Seeking Alpha has given Ambarella a D grade for both Value and Growth.
