- Tesla (TSLA, +0.7%) wants to integrate Apple Music (AAPL, +4%) and Amazon Music (AMZN, +3.7%) into its user interface, electrek reports.
- It already has Spotify (SPOT, -2.8%) integrated.
- Integration would allow drivers to play their streaming music through the in-car system without using their phones to play over Bluetooth, which is currently a feature.
- Elon Musk tweets today "Entertainment will be critical when cars drive themselves."
- Last week, Bloomberg reported that Square (NYSE:SQ) may be looking to purchase Jay'Z's music streaming service Tidal.
- Apple is also heading into the self-driving car space, which has sparked speculation about auto-tech partnerships for 2021.
