BigCommerce shares soar after Hedgeye adds to best long idea list

• Hedgeye adds BigCommerce (NASDAQ:BIGC) to its Best Ideas Long List, saying the firm's research indicates that BIGC is "only just a half-step behind" Shopify (NYSE:SHOP) on "ease of set up and navigation for SMBs."
• Technology analyst Ami Joseph says BigCommerce "might actually be an even competitor for mid-to- large size companies" preferring the company's "more flexible API" and "de-bundled checkout."
• BIGC shares are up 9.6% to $78.09.
• Last week, BigCommerce shares pushed to new highs on strong trading volume and elevated call buying.
